MGM Dessert Series

IN 2004 I met the pastry Chef from the MGM while working on a photo shoot. Chef Salazars work is the inspiration for this series. The new 9 paintings are an addition to the 2004 series.  In the studio, I made models of the desserts with floral foam and cardboard then lit with a spotlight so I could see to draw the shadows.  I think of these as studies for a much larger format to follow someday.
Each painting: 16 x 16" in a  custom Maple frame. Oil on Panel.  $550.
