Jack was an illustrator before he retired to Las Vegas to paint and draw for his own purposes. No longer working on demand, Jack spent the last years of his life doing just what he set out to do. This exhibition is a culmination of his life's work. This entire oeuvre was rarely seen by anyone other than family and close friends. I used to plead for Jack to enter CAC juried shows and I curated two exhibitions including his work. He was always reluctant to show because he didnt want to get into public pressure again. Now it is time for his work to be seen by the masses. He deserves it for certain, for this exceedingly talented master of the brush and pencil's work should never be kept a secret.
